On 22nd September 2001 the residents of Bosworth Street hosted a gathering to celebrate the grand opening of their Community Garden. They invited the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor John Smith, to perform the opening ceremony.

There was entertainment for the children and plenty of refreshments available. Special Thanks to Band Q of Ashton, Manchester Settlement, the Team from NDC and Groundwork Manchester who all made a contribution to this great project.

I would like to wish the Bosworth Street residents well in developing this project so that it is a success.
