Commonwealth Games
Well it’s a reality now folks! The commonwealth games are coming to Manchester.
Work is well underway on Sportcity and we can see the skyline gradually changing.

The site covers a huge area, boundaries (roughly) Alan Turing Way, (What used to be Forge Lane on the site Johnson’s Wireworks occupied) Ashton New Road, Rowley Street and The Ashton Canal.

A vast amount of money will be spent hosting The Commonwealth Games but this world class venue will still be there for the benefit of others.
