The Fun Club
Celine Downey has been running The Fun Club for local children voluntarily for the past thirteen years. Alongside her for eleven of those years has been Maureen Carol. Together, they keep children amused. They also both run playschemes during school holidays, two weeks at Easter and five weeks during the summer. They finish off the summer stint with a residential holiday in the sixth week.

The fun club stalwarts would like to expand the club to more than one night per week, but Corpus Christi is a social centre and very often the hall is used by other groups. It would also be a problem staffing another night, because there is always a shortage of volunteers.

Are there any readers out there with time and energy to spare? You would be made very welcome!
