Thomas Paine
Voice of the
Common People

Mike, who designs our magazine and website, has been involved in this and wants to give it a plug:

An exhibition to mark the death in 1809 of the revolutionary and writer Thomas Paine. Paine published pamphlets, written in simple language to explain his complex ideas, making them accessible to ordinary people.

Thomas Paine may have started life as an ordinary man, but his radical ideas about freedom, justice and equality have been a source of inspiration to ordinary people for over two hundred years.

This exhibition is based on the Thomas Paine collection of the Working Class Movement Library.
