Have Your Say Management Committee
We would welcome new committee members to help with the management of Have Your Say magazine, we meet monthly and are looking for people to fill the following roles at our next Annual General Meeting.
We realise that listing the responsibilities of the committee may seem a bit daunting to new comers,; however we thought that by breaking the roles down people would know exactly what is involved.
Chair Person
Attend meetings
Introduce and summarise the purpose of meetings
Keep control at meetings
Introduce agenda items
Ensure all committee have the opportunity to Have Their Say
To be as impartial as possible on all discussed subjects
Prepare agenda for next meeting with secretary
Vice Chair
Attend meetings
To chair meetings when Chair Person is unavailable
Secretary
Attend meetings
Taking minutes at meetings
Typing up minutes
Contact chair regarding agenda
Compiling the agenda for next meeting
Sending minutes and agenda to committee
Informing committee of the next meeting
Writing to committee where appropriate
Writing and receiving letters on behalf of committee
Keeping committee informed of any correspondence
Attending sub-group meetings
Treasurer
Attend meetings
To have overall responsibility of the groups finances
Pay monies into bank account
Keep accurate records of monies incomings and outgoings
Write cheques for invoices
Prepare balance sheet for committee meetings
Ensure accounts are audited for Annual General Meetings.
Ordinary Committee Members
Attend meetings
Discuss subjects calmly
Volunteer when possible to attend sub group meetings for;
Money management:
Finding funding
Writing up bids
Winning funding
So if there is anyone who fancies joining us, feel free to nominate yourself before the Annual General Meeting.
