Trinity Methodist Church Anniversary
On the 18th May this year my wife Elsie and I were invited to Trinity Methodist Church to celebrate their 44th anniversary. Unfortunately Elsie was unable to attend, but of course I went; as it is always nice to meet up with some old friends from the past. This year as before, everything was absolutely wonderful.
The reason for writing is to thank all the people who helped organise this anniversary event. The church service lead by Alan Broadbent was excellent and following the service we had a meal. The meal was beautiful; believe it or not I went up three times for more helpings!!! So a big thank you goes to the chef Jackie Hopkins and all the people who helped to serve the meals to all present.
I would like to suggest that they do the same event every Saturday night, with the same meals of course! I would get down on my hands and knees and pray for that!
The photograph is from the 'brick laying' ceremony when Trinity Church was being built in 1964. Both my daughters are on the picture waiting their turn to place a brick on the wall.
Anyway my final 'thank you' is to Walter and Mavis Yeomans and everyone at Trinity for a wonderful day.
