A visible police presence
"Miles Platting has a new policing team. Since January 2008 Miles Platting now has 2 new beat officers dedicated to the area, and 4 PCSO's in a supporting role. The 2 new beat officers, PC 01003 Bradburn and PC 11272 Quince are both based at Grey Mare Lane Police Station.
The Miles Platting team are focused on:
1. Decreasing instances of Anti Social Behaviour/Youth Nuisance
2. Providing a visible and effective police presence in the Miles Platting Area.
3. Attending Residents groups to provide a valuable link between partner agencies, the public and the police.
4. Effectively deal with any ongoing issues that have an impact upon the quality of life of residents.
PC BRADBURN has previously worked in the Clayton and Ancoats areas, whilst PC QUINCE has experience of the Collyhurst and Miles Platting areas. The officers are keen to introduce and support Homewatch schemes to support the ongoing fight against crime and disorder.
