No Harm Done!

I am late again with my subscription, apologies.   My husband Jeremy and I have been away in the sunshine of the Canary Islands for a few weeks.  Back to the wind and cold, but the snowdrops and crocus are looking good so spring will soon be here.  We live about ten minutes (by car) from the Galtee Mountains, and I can tell you, until the mist or cloud starts to go upwards the weather will remain hard.

I well remember 'muck yard lane' and all the smells, but they were good days in some ways, because most of us had nothing so we were all in the same boat and shared what we had.

Mr. Brogan's letter brought back loads of memories, meeting blind dates outside the cinema and if you didn't like the look of him, you just went off home or to the milk bar-no harm done!

One film that always stays in my memory is Charlie Chaplin in 'Limelight'.  We used to have great times in the Don Cinema on Sunday afternoons.  Another film 'It always rains on Sunday' with Googie Withers.

Perhaps Mr. Brogan will remember the King family of Beswick.

Time moves on but memories stay clear and dear as yesterday.

Eunice and Jeremy O'Dwyer.
