Drink Follow up AMP
Young people from Amp (Ancoats & Miles Platting Youth Project) were recently involved in an anti drink project. During the project they researched the area in which they live and decided that there was a fair amount of under-age drinking going on. They came up with ideas on how to combat this problem. One of their ideas was to start making their own poster campaign. Below in their own words is a brief report of what they did.

We joined in with this project because we thought that too many kids in Ancoats and around the Manchester region were drinking too much alcohol.

We had help from a photographer called Jay who took photos of Jack, Jade and me (Joshua), we were posing trying to look as though we were drinking (but we weren't really). These photos were added to the posters with the words we had come up with "drink'n without think'n" and "big drink'n, big problems."

The posters will be in the nest issue of "Made In Madness" our own Amp magazine.

Cans, bottles, vodka shots
Makes you sick like Jelly Tots.
In the alley, on the streets
Drinking too much
Getting chased by the police!
Running, laughing, being loud
Your mum and dad won't be proud
