Congratulations
I would like to congratulate Marian and Dave Ross on their Golden wedding, in September.

Many years ago, me and my two little boys Lawrence and Jonathon were at Ringway airport en route for a new life in Belgium where my husband Ray had been transferred by his employers. He had gone ahead of us and it was quite a lonely time for us. When we arrived at Ringway we had a lot of formalities to go through as we were taking our pets with us, dog, cat, hamster and budgie.

We then went into the departure lounge, where we saw arms and legs waving from behind a pillar, it was Marian, Dave and their two boys Craig and Andrew who had driven all that way to see us off. It was a lovely thing to do and I’ve never forgotten their kindness and after almost 40 years I’d like to say how much it was appreciated.

We still keep in touch and last year visited them in their new home in Wales. So love and best wishes for many more happy years together.
