We held our third reunion of St. Phillip’s-Ancoats, St. Mark’s and Holland Street schools and neighbours from Ancoats and Miles Platting at Corpus Christi Social Club last November; what a night-they get better every year! We had a lovely buffet thanks to Maggie and Jean, also thanks to Jean and her hard working staff!

Thanks to my wife Eve (Nee Houghton) For spending hour after hour at Manchester Central Library, searching through the archives to obtain lots of photocopies of the old areas-streets, pubs etc to show and pass around.

We are hoping to hold another reunion possibly at the end of September so look out for the notice in the Manchester Evening News Postbag. Listen for an announcement on the Fred Fielder Show and Christine Prentice on GMR Sundays 12-2pm.
