The accommodation in Welwyn Walk opened last December and staff provide emotional and practical support seven days per week to women with children, focused on boosting skills and resources to enable positive parenting and independent living. The project has close working relationships with many agencies including mental health services, community drug and alcohol agencies, social work teams etc.
At the accommodation there are fully furnished two bedroomed self contained flats and a number of three bedroom houses with secure gardens. The scheme also offers communal facilities inc-luding an office, residents lounge and a play area for children.
The staff are anxious to involve the local community to make use of the facilities and soon hope to start a coffee morning.
For all enquiries please telephone or fax the staff at the project on 0161 203 5588.
