The Grange
You may have noticed that the refurbishment of the former Grange School for Special Needs on Pilgrim Drive in Beswick is now complete.

The work has taken over eight months and has transformed the building, which was in a poor state of repair, into a new Community Resource Centre for Beswick. There is a large reception area, creche, large hall, conservatory, day care facilities for the elderly plus bathroom, an I.T. suite, training room, meeting rooms, a kitchen and a community cafe facility. The grounds and car park have also been improved and there is a new entrance on Albert Street. The Beswick and Bradford Community Project will relocate to the centre and will organise a wide range of activities based on what local people want in the centre and help develop other projects such as the community cafe.

The building has ‘state of the art’ security with Smartwater as well as security shutters, lighting and C.C.T.V.
The opening date and range of activities to be offered will be well publicised around the area, if you want more information in the meantime call in and see Marie or Lesley at the New Deal Offices on Grey Mare Lane, or telephone 230 2100
