the end of a successful project
The Wells Centre North Road Clayton played host to the launch of the Wells Word Magazine. A project done in partnership with Clayton Sure Start and Gatehouse Books Most of the people involved in the magazine project hadn’t done much writing before, some found it really hard but all discovered they had something they wanted to say. Steph Prior and Chris Hayes gave plenty of encouragement and in the end all agreed it was worth it!

An enjoyable time was had by all who attended The Launch. Refreshments were available and many certificates were presented to local parents involved on courses at the centre, there was poetry reading from one of the people who had written poems for the magazine and music from the Sure Start Gang, who started off with five members and now have sixteen!

Steph is also working with a group who are making a web-based magazine, so watch out for that one on the internet!
